From The Palmer Journal, January 1, 1953, page 4, transcribed by Linda Berney: Frank J. Janky, 63, former farmer of Chapman community and one time Merrick County Supervisor died Sunday afternoon at a hospital in Grand Island. He had been ill since last April. Six years ago he and his wife retired from the farm and moved to Grand Island, residing at 603 West Tenth. Printed with permission.
