Bio

Cleveland was born near Pleasant Mound where his father operated a cotton gin and grocery store. He lived in Dallas County all his life. Cleveland was employed by Western Electric Company for twenty-two years and was a chief inspector for the company when he left in 1933. He operated a filling station at Haskell and Thomas streets until he retired two years before his death. He was a member of Owenwood Methodist Church. He was survived by his son and daughter, four sisters, and four brothers.
