Bio

Elizabeth was the daughter of William Richard Lagow and Margaret Ann Beeman. She said she was born on the Dick Lagow farm where the Buckner Orphans Home was in 1947. (Buckner no longer owns as much land as it once did, so the land may no longer be part of that owned by Buckner.) She was the granddaughter of Scott Beeman, whose family came to Dallas County in 1841 with the original Peters Colony. Elizabeth claimed to have Daniel Boone and Cynthia Ann Parker among her ancestors. Elizabeth was survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. J. V. (Marguerite) Jenniges; a son, Cecil L. Holifield; four sisters; and four brothers. Funeral services were held at Gaston Avenue Baptist Church.
