Obituary: August 27, 1900, Times-Picayune "DIED. TALIAFERRO -- On Sunday morning, Aug. 26, 1900 at 10:50 o'clock, Mrs. Mary E. Taliaferro, at Biloxi, Miss., daughter of the late Dr. William B. Lacey and daughter-in-law of the late Judge James G. Taliaferro. The funeral will take place this (Monday) afternoon at 4 o'clock, from No. 1600 Carondelet Street. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend" After the death of her husband in 1848, Mary and her son, William, lived with her father, Rev. William Lacey, and family in Jackson, Louisiana, according to the 1850 Census. The 1860 Census shows that they were living with Rev. Lacey and family in Okolona, Mississippi.
