EVERGREEN — Services for Samuel L. Jeansonne will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Church of the Little Flower with the Rev. Harvey Fortier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Escude, Cottonport. Jeansonne, 95, of Evergreen died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, in Bunkie General Hospital. He was a retired teacher and during his career he taught at Bolton High School, Houma High School and in Canada. He was a member of Little Flower Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Escude Jeansonne of Evergreen; one son, Charles R. Jeansonne of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Ivy J. Couvillion of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Rosary service will begin at 5 p.m. today in the funeral home. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 8-9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
