Bio

Died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday at the Cottonport Clinic. Was 83 years old, and resided in Plaucheville. Survived by her husband, Avit Jeansonne of Plaucheville; eight sons, Forrest, Lewis and Sam Jeansonne of Alexandria, Nolan Jeansonne of Thibodaux, Clemile, Ruby, Edwin and Harris Jeansonne of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. D.A. Guilbeau of New Roads and Mrs. Alvin B. Couvillion of Port Allen; three brothers, Placide, Victor and Julien Jeansonne, all of Plaucheville; 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Body will be at the family residence in Plaucheville. Religious services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Roy Fortin and the Rev. Allen Bordelon officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Noland Funeral Home of New Roads is in charge of arrangements. Published January 17, 1957 in The Advocate - Baton Rouge, LA
