A TRIBUTE published in the pages of IMPERIAL VALLEY PRESS El Centro, California October 25, 1967 Memorial Obituary Entered Into Eternal Rest Monday, Oct. 23, 1967 Funeral services for Chesley H. Williams, 61, Brawley resident for 36 years, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Frye Chapel, Brawley. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Williams died of pneumonia Monday at 4:30 p.m. in an El Centro hospital where he had been a patient for 11 days. He was born in Whitney, Tex., May 19, 1906, and came to Brawley from Whitney in 1939. He was employed in agriculture as a tractor driver. His wife, Fay Vola, died in Brawley in 1954. Williams had been in ill health for the past two years and had resided with relatives in El Centro during that time. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glenda Culkins and Mrs. Paula Price, both of El Centro; two sons, Howard of El Centro and Donald of Santa Barbara; five grandchildren; four sister, including Mrs. Hazel Shelley of Brawley, and three brothers.
