Bio

[Jean Wallace-Great-Granddaugher - Simms Family History] Abigail McBride, Piles, Simms was my Great-Grandmother on my Dad's side. She is said to have been born in Nashville, TN in Davidson Co. She was the 5th daughter and the 10th child of Pleasant McBride and Sarah McInturff McBride. She first married John Piles in 1859 and they had 2 daughters. Then on Aug 26, 1880 she married Jacob Milton Simms, my great-grandfather, in Hood Co., TX. They had 1 son and 2 daughters, the third child was my grandmother, Annie Jane Simms Bateman, who married James Monroe Bateman in 1911 in Somervell Co., TX. This Simms family has been my "brick wall" family for the past 20+ years I have been doing family research. If there is anyone that reads this and can give me any information at all on any of them, I would be so grateful. The oldest child in my line, Elizabeth Ellen Simms who married Lawrence Callie Nickell, is my main problem. I have very little information on her and would love to have more.
