Bio

William Franklin "Bud" Simms was the 1st son and the 2nd child of Jacob Milton Simms and Abigail McBride Piles Simms and the brother to my grandmother, Annie Jane (Simms) Bateman. He first married Biddie Marvin Thomas, daughter of James Knox Polk Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth (Bishop) Thomas, on Dec 31, 1903 in Somervell Co. TX. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. After they divorced he later married Mattie "Belle" (Wood) Simms in 1928 in Abilene, TX, Taylor Co. She was the daughter of George Wood and Sarah Frances (Nail) Wood.
