Reeves Passes Suddenly; Rites Tomorrow A heart attack, suffered at his home, 1403 Wesley Street, about 9 o'clock last night, took the life of George N. Reeves, 36, prominent Greenville insurance salesman and a native of the Tidwell community. Death came as he was being rushed to a local hospital in a Gray-Ballard-Sorrels (sic) ambulance following the attack. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the North Greenville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Clements in charge. Burial will be in the Tidwell cemetery. The arrangements are being made by the Gray-Ballard-Sorrells Funeral Home. ... George Newton Reeves was born on July 22, 1913, in the Tidwell community where he as reared and engaged in farming for a number of years. He was the son of Elisha Andrews Reeves and Ora Jacobs Reeves. He was employed as local representative of the Universal Life Insurance Company at the time of his death. ... He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ralph, Malcolm and Larry; his mother, Mrs. E. A. Reeves; one brother, Hubert Reeves of Garland; three sisters, Mrs. Judy Bench of Decatur; Mrs. Ardelia Martin of Lawton, Okla., Mrs. Mae Wilburne of Wagner and other relatives."
