Miller Called by Death George Newton Miller, 65, well known Concord farmer and native of Hunt County, died at 10 o’clock Saturday night at his home after an illness of several months duration. Funeral services are pending, but will be held at Lamar Baptist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. W. O. Majors, and Dr. Cecil Wyatt, pastor of Park Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Claud Pearce, Presley Gooch, John Walker, Hick Beane, Clarence Pearce, Jack Evans, Charlie Mullens and T. R. Garber, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: M. K. T. Maroney, T. B. Weatherly, Sr., Clyde Weatherly, P. B. Paul, Jim Hamilton, R. D. Trimble and Benton Clark. Mr. Miller was born at Kellogg on July 19, 1886, the son of Jake and Nannie Miller. He spent his entire life in Hunt County and had lived at Concord since 1948. He was a successful farmer and was well-known throughout this section. He was married to the former Florence Etta Ragan on Feb. 14, 1904, and she survives. Mr. Miller was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church and the WOW. ...
