Herald Coaster, February 26, 1988: Funeral services for Lydia Ludwig, 92, of Beasley, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Frieden's United Church of Christ in Beasley. Officiating the services will be the Rev. Peter Nichols. Burial will be in the Frieden's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Ludwig died Wednesday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1895. She was a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Beasley. Survivors include her son, Leeroy Ludwig and his wife, Martha of Galena Park; two grandchildren, Connie Holt of Houston and Steve Ludwig of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Herman Richter of Rosenberg; four great-grandchildren, Tammy Holt of Houston, Kimberly Holt of Houston, Natalie Ludwig of Tulsa, and Abbie Ludwig of Tulsa. Friends may call Friday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Memorials may be made to Frieden's United Church of Christ in Beasley. Services are under the direction of the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Rosenberg.
