Herald Coaster, August 30, 1988: Funeral services for Herman Richter, 94, of Rosenberg, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The Rev. Don Kolkmeier will officiate, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Richter was born Nov. 28, 1893 in New Wehdem. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ for many years. He died early Monday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Richter. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lorene and Loyd Engel of Beasley, Gladys and Marvin Henrichsen of Rosenberg, and Ella Mae and Lawrence Schmidt of Richmond; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Mollie Richter of Houston; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Dawson Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
