T. R. Lambert Mt. Carroll, Ill., Dec. 3.— T. R. Lambert, 92, a former resident of this community, died Tuesday in Austin, Texas. The body will be brought to Mt. Carroll, arriving Thursday mornng, and funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon in the Christian funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. R. H. Seitner will officiate. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ed. McGinty, of Thomson, and a son in Austin, Texas. -- Freeport Journal Standard, pg. 22, Dec. 3, 1941 Note: Acc. to his TX death record his father's name was William. There was no mother or wife listed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the Palmer (Nebraska) Journal, December 4, 1941, transcribed by Linda Berney: M. V. Lambert received word that his father, T. R. Lambert of Austin, Texas, died early Tuesday morning. The remains will be taken to Illinois for burial. The sons, Clarence Lambert of Long Pine, Calvin Lambert of Ainsworth, and Mark, left together Wednesday to attend the funeral. A daughter resides in Illinois. T. R. Lambert resided in this community many years, coming here in about 1906. He conducted the Lambert ranch for a number of years before his sons took over the management. He has been back to visit Palmer a number of times since moving to Texas.
