Anna Matejaka, daughter of Josef and Anna Mihulas Fujan was born July 23, 1896, near Milligan, Neb. She passed away Saturday, July 1, 1978, at the Fillmore County Hospital long term care in Geneva. She lived in Saline county all her life and was always interested in her household duties around the farm. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to others who were in need. On December 6, 1934, Anna and Charles A. Matejka were married at Clay Center, Neb., and lived on the family farm in Saline County, east of Milligan. They retired from farming in 1968. Those preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Charles in 1970 and William in June of this year; and two brothers-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Charles, sisters, Mrs. Frances Laun of Milligan and Mrs. Mary Bures of Exeter. Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 3, 1978, at 2 p.m. from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home-Kotas Chapel in Milligan with Rev. Homer B. Clements officiating. Mrs., Albert Naimon accompanied Robert Kassik , who sang "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "Where He Leads Me, I Will Follow." Pallbearers were Louis Cecrle, Richard Flaska, Alfred Matejka, Wayne Matejka, Leslie Skrivanek and Milton Vavra. Interment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery south of Milligan.
