Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Tuesday, 28 Dec 1971, page 2, Deaths, Stapleton Funeral services are pending with Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home for Mrs. Lois Green Stapleton, 66, of 3500 Park St. who died Monday evening at Citizens General Hospital. A native of Celeste, Mrs. Stapleton was born Oct. 5, 1905, the daughter of Sherman Green and Eva Ross. Survivors include a son, James Stapleton of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Billie Chapman of Austin; three brothers, Austin Green of Greenville, Burl Green of Tyler and Glenn Green of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Ragene (sic) Moss of Greenville and Mrs. Floy Williams (sic) of Greenville and a grandson, Eddie Stapleton of Bandera. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. ---------- Greenville (Texas) Herald Banner, Wednesday, 29 Dec 1971, page 2, Deaths, Stapleton Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Green Stapleton, 66, of 3500 Park St., will be at 11 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel with Dr. Harrison Baker officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lewis Clark, Harold Williams, Perry Goen, Sherman Ray Green, Ralph David Green and Don Moss. Mrs. Stapleton died Monday at Citizens General Hospital.
