************************************************************* MARY ROSE (STAVA) DHOOGE, 82 of Wilber, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Wilber Care Center. She was born on October 23, 1926 to Edward F. and Augusta (Jensen) Stava in Plattsmouth. Mary was a graduate of Douglas High School with the Class of 1944. She married Henry Dhooge on May 5, 1950 in Lincoln. She retired from the City of Wilber after 30 years of serving as City Clerk and Treasurer. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilber and a Gold Star member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #101 of Wilber. Preceded in death by parents; husband Henry; brothers Martin and Ralph; infant brother and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia Ruley, Lincoln; nieces and nephews; sisters Jean Bruner of Ft. Collins, CO, Anna Blevins, Geneva, brothers John Stava, Bloomington, IN, Joe Stava, Oroville, CA Interment was Thursday, April 23, at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers were; Collin Calvert, Dan Picard, Richard Rutherford and james Stava. Memorial in lieu of flowers to the family. Memorial Services were held at the Wilber Care Center, on Friday, April 24, with pastor James Helgren officiating and Linda Calvery (niece) soloist. ************************************************************
