Anna Mae (Stava) Blevins was born to Edward and Augusta (Jensen) Stava on April 7, 1936 at Plattsmouth, NE and passed away on May 27, 2022 at Heritage Crossings, Geneva, NE at the age of 86. She was one of 10 children. Anna married Thomas Blevins on February 22, 1953 in Nebraska City, NE. To this union, 6 children were born. Anna attended school in Douglas, NE. Anna was a stay-at-home mother for many years. After moving to Geneva, NE in 1962, she worked for Fillmore County Hospital followed by 16 years at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont, NE. In 1984 Anna and her husband Thomas began working together in motel management. In 1997 they retired from motel management and moved back to Geneva. Anna then worked at the Goldenrod Hotel and as a "Grandma" at Rainbow Daycare. One of Anna's biggest joys was bowling with her friends. She enjoyed bowling for many years, traveling to many cities and states. She was a member of the Women's Bowling Association for 51 years. Anna cherished the time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, making sure their favorite foods were always ready for them. Her hobbies included cross stitching and quilting blankets for her grandchildren and great-children. She had a passion for gardening, loving her flower gardens and potted plants. She had a great knack for bringing the almost dead plant to life again. Anna was also an avid movie watcher especially any movie or tv show that starred her favorite actor, Kevin Costner. Anna was a person of great positivity, an active/fun conversationist, thoughtful and caring of those around her. She was always a bright light to others, never complaining about anything or anyone, believing "there are others that have it much worse than I". Anna was preceded in death by her twin sister Bridget at birth, her husband Thomas, her mother (Augusta), father (Edward), sisters Jean (Stava) Bruner, and Mary (Stava) Dhooge, brothers Martin, Ralph, Lee, and Joseph Stava. Anna is survived by her children: Thomas L Blevins, Jr. (Sandy), Jay, FL; Debora (Blevins) Sole (Arnold), Leavenworth, KS; Ralph Blevins (Laura), Topeka, KS; Christine (Blevins) Picard (Daniel), Crete, NE; Robert Blevins (Sharon), Stromsburg, NE; Marie (Blevins) Rewerts, Geneva, NE; brother John Stava of Bloomington, Indiana; sister Judith (Stava) Sparks (Robert), Omaha, NE; step-sisters Florene Nickles of Lincoln, NE and Shirley Brugman of Port Arthur, TX, and 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
