Sarah Elizabeth Ellen Irwin, daughter of John Lewis Irwin & Mathilda Johnson, was born August 15, 1902 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, died February 15, 1991 in Richmond, Henrico County, Virginia, aged 88 years, 5 months and 30 days, and was buried in the Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Chesterfield County, Virginia. On On June 30, 1925 at Chester, Virginia, Sarah was united in marriage to Howard Lawrence Ketcham, born May 1, 1898 in Wood County, Ohio, son of William Leonard Ketcham and Alice Mary DuBell. He died October 7, 1986 in Chesterfield County, Virginia, aged 88 years, 5 months and 6 days, and was buried in the family plot in the Sunset Memorial Park. Their two children were: Howard Laurence Ketcham born 24 Jul 1926 William Irwin Ketcham 28 Aug 1927 Sarah was six years old when her father died and was sent with a sister and two brothers to Barron, Wisconsin, to live with her grandmother Anna (Christeson) Coon on the famr owned by Simon Christeson. She returned to Virginia in 1921 for a visit, her train fare paid by her brother Blaine. She stayed in Richmond and graduated from highschool there in 1923. She died at the house built by her husband in Richmond.
