Bio

11-27-1988 J.R Peek. Services for. J.R Peek, 75, of Brashear, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29; in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with David Burns officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mr. Peek died at 7:53 am. Sunday at his residence. He was born May 26, 1913, in Hopkins County, the son of Julius Enoch Peek and Nancy Ellen McMahan Peek. He married Opal I. Moore July 11, 1936, in Brashear. She survives He was a retired construction worker and a member of Weaver Baptist Church. Other survivors include three sons, Royce Peek of Brashear, Joe Peek of Dallas and Benny Peek of Brashear; one brother, Clarence Peek of Dallas two sisters, Ruby Coker of Grand Prairie and Ivo Hollers of Edgewood, and nine grandchildren
