Bio

Royce Peek Funeral services for Royce Peck, 51, of Brashear are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, in the Brashear Baptist Church with the Rev. David Burns officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Cumby with Jack Smith, Rayburn Smith, Red George, Bill Gainer, Larry Don Peek and Jimmy Hale serving as pallbearers. Mr. Peck died at 9:41 a.m. Monday, June 26, at the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1937, in Hopkins County, the son of J.R. and Opal Moore Peck. He married Marilyn Kay Currin March 24, 1967, at Abilene. She survives of Brownwood. He was a member of a Baptist church and was retired. Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Royce Peek, Brashear and James Kirby Peek, Brownwood; one daughter, Kaneesi Sue Peck Brownwood; his mother; and two brothers Bennie Peek, Brashear and Joe Dan Peek, Dallas.
