Her services were held March 14, 2001, per cemetery. ∼ Mrs. Longmire, 87, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on Saturday. Tuesday, March 13, 2001: Virginia May "Ginny" Merideth Longmire, 82, of Oklahoma City, died Saturday, March 10, 2001, in Oklahoma. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Vondel Smith Mortuary in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Longmire was born July 10, 1918, in Columbia to Eugene and Willy Merideth. She married John Longmire on July 23, 1938, in Hannibal, and he preceded her in death. She graduated from Hickman High School. She loved gardening and golf. Survivors include two sons, John Longmire of Edmond, Okla., and David Longmire of Oklahoma City; one daughter Mary Jo "Jody" Bringaze of Yukon, Okla.; six brothers, Bill Merideth of Oceanside, Calif., Jim Merideth of Yucaipa, Calif., Jack Merideth of Altadena, Calif., Joe Merideth of San Marino, Calif., George Merideth of Fulton and Charles Merideth of Columbia; two sisters, Mary Jean Arrandale of Moberly and Maxine Johnson of Columbia; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
