San Angelo Standard-Times, Nov. 13, 1964 "Graveside services for Mrs. Virgie McMillin, 77, former resident of San Angelo, will be held today in Big Valley Cemetery, south of Goldthwaite, directed by Johnson's Funeral Home. Mrs. McMillin, died Wednesday in Golden Years Nursing Home at Christoval. She had lived in San Angelo at 1922 Ellis St., before moving to the nursing home October 17th. She was born July 2, 1887 in Terrell and had lived here the past 14 years. Survivors include an adopted son, C. A. Hodges of San Angelo, a sister, Mrs. Lide Smith of Terrell; four brothers, Sam J. Brooks of San Angelo, E. B. Brooks of Terrell, George W. Brooks of Brownwood and G. H. Brooks of Houston."
