Brownwood Bulletin, March 19, 1965 "George Washington Brooks, 90, of 3808 North Main Blvd, died today in his home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday in Davis-Morris Funeral Home with burial in Greenleaf Cemetery. Mr. Brooks, a retired stock farmer was born April 3, 1874 in Collin County and moved to Brownwood 11 years ago from Pioneer. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Lige Smith of Terrell and three brothers, Gabe Brooks of Houston, L.
