Funeral services for Martha Adella 'Adaî Vastine, 104, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder, with the Rev. Phillips, the Rev. George Glass Jr. and the Rev. George Lee Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder. Martha Adella 'Adaî Vastine, 104, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006 at 10:25 p.m. at his son's home in Bedford, Texas. She was a resident of DeRidder. Martha 'Adaî was born March 18, 1902 in Beauregard Parish. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Vastine, a son Arthur D. Vastine and a daughter Annie Louise Wood. Survivors include one daughter, Dorthy Moses and husband Earl of DeRidder, La.; her son, George Vastine and wife Shirley of Bedford, Texas; two sisters, Clora Green of DeRidder, La. and Eula Roark of Fordyce, Ark.; her daughter-in-law, Allie Vastine of Rogers, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
