Bio

OBITUARY:William Bunch, son of David and Mary Bunch was born in Guilford County, NC in 1803. Emigrated with his father to Washington County, Indiana in 1817. His parents were Friends and Quakers, but joined the Methodist Episcopal Church after coming to Indiana in 1819. He married February 14, 1821 to Catherine McGrew who died in 1833. To this union four children were born, 2 sons and 2 daughters. Sons, David and John. Married his second wife, Elizabeth Barnett, October 9, 1834. Emigrated to Iowa in 1853, since which time he resided in Davis County, VanBuren and Madison Counties. He was a class leader in the Methodist Episcopal Church for 30 years. Was a clean Christian man. To know him was to love and respect him. He departed this life September 17, 1870. Van Meter, Iowa.By connie woodward (#46810955
