Funeral services for Mrs Anna M. Trojan, 89, of Ogallala, were held Wednesday, Jan 5, from St Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala with the Rev James Whalen officiating. Mrs. Trojan died Jan 3 at Ogallala Community Hospital. Pallbearers were Bill Styskal, Jim A Styskal, Jerry Styskal, Robert Ticknor. Norbert Sabata and Harold Beckius. Burial was in the Ogallala Cemetery. Anna Shonka was born July 22, 1893, at Abie. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Frank Shonka. On Oct 14, 1913, she married Louis Trojan at David City. They farmed at Ulysses, in Seward County, south of Brule in Perkins County and in Chase County before retiring to Ogallala in 1963. For the past two years, Mrs. Trojan had resided in an Ogallala nursing home. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Anton (Ann) Styskal of Grant and Mrs Eugene Alyce, Theisen of Hugo, Colorado; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband two children six brothers and two sisters.
