Knox died Oct 24 1981 in McKinney, TX Courier Gazette, McKinney, TX., Monday, Oct 26, 1981 p4 Funeral services for MRS. WILLIE KNOX, 82, of McKinney who died Sat. night in a McKinney hospital were held 2 p.m. Mon. in Horn - Harris - Crouch Chapel with Rev. Pat Andrews officiating. Interment was in Melissa Cemetery. A retired nurse, she was born Jan 3 1899 in Collin County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson Stice. She was a member of the North Side Baptist Church. She married Jim Knox, Jan 2 1918 in Melissa. He preceded her in death April 2, 1959. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sue Loftice of McKinney ; one granddaughter, Jimann Loftice of McKinney ; six sisters, Mrs. Verline McCoy and Mrs. Winnie Covington of Anna, Mrs. Linnie Holland of McKinney, Mrs. Mildred Perry and Mrs. Jeanette Goodwin of Dallas.
