Funeral Monday for Mrs. Kolar- Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Kolar, who died at her home in Wilber on Dec 30, were held from Schleis-Zajicek Funeral Home on Monday. Death came for Mrs. Kolar after a lingering illness. Born Frances Pelican, in Czechoslovakia on May 3, 1878, she was the daughter of John and Frances Pelican. She came to this vicinity with her parents and other members of the family in 1891. On July 7, 1903, she was married to Joseph Kolar in Wilber. They farmed both in Saline and Jefferson counties before retiring to Wilber in 1946. Mrs. Kolar is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Della Uldrich, Fairbury, and Mrs. Emma Hohensee, Lincoln; sons, Frank of Omaha, and Lumir of Daykin; brothers, Frank Pelican, Sr., Wilber, and John and Anton Pelican, Palmer; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Kolar was a member of Pavla Cechova Lodge No 113, JCD. Services were conducted by the Rev. E. S. DeSpain, iwth a song service by Mrs. Emil Kostka and Mrs. Robert Broz, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Zajicek. Interment was in Bohemian National cemetery here. ~~~~~ Frances was born in Hluboka, Chotebor, Caslav, Bohemia
