Married Nov 3 1925 Howard,NE ------------------------------------ Agnes Jonak Rites At Paplin Agnes Jonak died Monday, December 27, 1982, at the Howard County Community Hospital in St. Paul, at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 10 days. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 30, 1982, at 10:30 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Paplin, with Father Jim Schmidt officiating, with Father Bernard Nelson and Father Milan Kopushar assisting. Music throughout the Mass was provided by Gertrude Lukasiewicz. Casketbearers were Craig, Joe and Carl Ambrose, Tim and Robert Jonak and Randy Smith. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Agnes was born January 17, 1909 at Ashton to Max and Lottie Moraczewski Grudzinski. She grew up and received her education at the Paplin and Ashton Schools. On November 3, 1925, she married Frank Jonak, Sr. at Paplin. The couple made their home northeast of Ashton. In October 1981 they moved to Rose Land Home in Loup City. Frank died July 15, 1982. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Al-Marie) Persak and Mrs. Milton (Esther) Ambrose, both of St. Paul, and Mrs. John (Elaine) Dart of Neward, California. Four sons, Isadore and Frank Jr., of Ashton, Ted of Shelton and Larry of Grand Island; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Cashmir) Kosmicki of Alliance; two brothers, Louie of Watertown, Wisconsin and Leonard Grudzinski of Phillips, 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and infant son, Eugene; three sisters, Belle Kosmicki, Monica Furby and Emilia Grudzinski; two brothers, Albin and Roman Grudzinski; and twin great-grandsons.
