25 Dec. 1940 Sherman County Times DEATH OF MRS. MAX GRUDZINSKI DECEMBER 18, ------------------------------------------------------ The death of Mrs. Max Grudzinski occurred at her home Wednesday morning, December 18, following a long illness, due to cancer. At the first sign of illness, she was taken to the University hospital in Omaha and all possible care was given her. She remained there until a few months ago when she returned home. At the time of her death, she was exactly 54 years, 5 months and 23 days old. Lottie Moraczewski was born on a farm near Farwell, Nebr., June 25, 1886 to Mr. and Mrs. Cashmer Morasczewski. She lived there up until the time of her marriage in 1906 to Max Grudzinski, which took place at St. Anthony's church in Posen (Farwell). They then made their home on a farm north of Ashton in Sherman County. To this union nine children were born eight of which are living, one daughter Emily having died at the age of four years. Survived by her husband, four sons, Louis of Loup City, Leonard, Roman, and Albin all of Ashton; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Kosmicki, and Mrs. Victor Kosmicki of Loup City, Mrs. Frank Jonak and Monica Grudzinski of Ashton; two brothers Felix and Joe Moraczewski of Ashton; one sister, Mrs. Anna Grudzinski, one step-sister, Mrs. Stella Kaminski and twenty-one grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Carmel church at Paplin Friday, December 20, 9:30 with Rev. Anthony Figlerski oficiating at the last rites. Burial was made in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were the three sons and three sons-in-law, namely, Leonard, Louis, and Roman Grudzinski and Victor and Frank Kosmicki and Frank Jonak.
