Osceola Sentinal, April 21, 1904 Mrs. Sam Saddoris died at her home in Osceola, Iowa, Saturday April 16 aged thirty-seven years seven months and twenty days after a week's illness with measles. The funeral services were held at Fremont Church Sunday April 17th at 11:00. Rev W.A. McCorkle having charge of the services, after which interment took place in the Fremont Cemetery. She was buried in an unmarked grave. The deceased maiden name was Williams and she was born in Warren county. She was married to Mr. Sam Saddoris about twenty years ago. Nine children were born of the union, two of whom died, and seven are left to morn the loss of an affectionate and kind mother. She leaves a father, Mark Williams, three brothers, A.F., Clark, and E. G. Williams and one sister, Mrs. E.G. Paul. Mrs. Saddoris death occured under sad circumstances that greatly touched her friends and all possible was done by her father, brothers, sister and friends to make her last hours comfortable. She was a good woman who had endured much hardship and suffering but she is now at rest and enjoys the peaceful sleep of the just.
