The Durant (OK) Daily Democrat, August 26, 1976: Entered into Eternal Rest, Tuesday, August 24, 1976 : Service set for ROSCOE CLEO LINDSEY, Liberty, Oklahoma, 58, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kemp Church of Christ. Lindsey was dead on arrival, Tuesday at Durant Hospital. Officiating will be Paul Redden. Burial will be in Kemp Cemetery, Kemp, Oklahoma. Lindsey was born in 1918 in Denison, Texas. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Jessie ; a brother, J. W. Lindsey of Copeville, Texas and sisters; Mrs. Virgie Lewallen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. Jettie Sampley of Iowa Park, Texas and Mrs. Myrtle Buchanan of Houston, Texas. The family will be at Coffey Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Bud Walton, Durel Hair, Lee Shackleford, Hershell Wilson, Acie Richardson and Lowell Williams. Roscoe Lindsey and Jessie Manning married June 19 1945 in Oklahoma.
