(Ref: CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, dated for August 10, 1983, reads as follows: FORNI Graveside services for John Ray Forni, 29, Rt. 1 Box 155, will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in Carlsbad Cemetery with Dr. L.B. Trone, retired Methodist minister officiating. West Funeral Home is handling arrangements. He was born and raised in Carlsbad and graduated from Carlsbad Senior High School in 1972. He attended New Mexico State University and then began doing construction work for Daniels Construction in Wyoming and Colorado. He had been back in Carlsbad for the past 10 months. Survivors include his parents, Leon and Patsy Frerich, Carlsbad; a brother, Fred, Gillette, Wyo.; two sisters, Donna Estes, Santa Fe, and Beth Ackman, Carlsbad; and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Fletcher, Loving.
