(Ref: THE DAILY CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, dated for Tuesday, August 10, 1943, front page, reads as follows: FUNERAL SERVICES FOR INFANT SET FOR TODAY Funeral service was scheduled to be held at 5 p.m. today at the West Chapel for Jerry D. Forni, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Forni, 1012 North Mesa Street, with the Reverend Finton of the Westside Baptist Church officiating. The child died in a local hospital Monday. The child's father, who was a member of the famous "200th," was reported a prisoner of the Japanese following the fall of the Philippines.
