Herald Coaster, Wednesday, April 15, 1998: Funeral services for Esther L. Brinkmeyer, 86, of Needville will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville, with the Rev. George Kuebler officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel, 3103 School Street in Needville. Mrs. Brinkmeyer died on Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at the S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home in Needville. She was born on Dec. 18, 1911 in Needville, the daughter of Louis and Louise Kramer. She was a member of the Immanual United Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters, Lois F. Miller and her husband, Lelon, of Needville, and Melba J. Ralston of Houston; a son, Melvin Ray "Butch" Brinkmeyer and his wife, Ruth, of Houston; grandchildren, Cindy and Waymond Schulze of Needville, Randy and Kelly Miller of Sugar Land, Mike Brinkmeyer and Michelle Brinkmeyer, both of Houston, Russell Miller of Austin, Kim and Becky Sowell of Rogers, and Brent Ralston of Houston; great-grandchildren, Melissa Schulze, Chris Brinkmeyer, Amanda Schulze, Stephen Sowell, Tiffany Sowell, Cody Sowell, Brandon Brinkmeyer, Jason Miller, and Jessica Sowell; a sister, Ore Nell Myska and her husband, Sam, of Sugar Land; a brother, Luther Kramer and his wife, Arlie, of Winnie; sisters-in-law, Alice Bergen and her husband, Johnnie, of Needville, Vlasta Kramer of Needville, Emma Kramer of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and four brothers. For those wishing memorial donations may be made to the Immanual United Church of Christ.
