Services for Sudie (Sue Ann) McCarty, 104, of Lufkin, were held February 9,2001 in the Chapel of the Last Supper in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. McCarty was born in the Oklahoma Territory to the late Emma Harriet Fenley and John Franklin Dixon. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She had been the organist at her church when she was young and later attended Clawson Baptist Church. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World. She had been a resident of Lufkin most of her life. Survivors: Daughters, Marguerite Lawrence, Marie Langford and Rebecca Ward Sons, John W. McCarty, Jr., John A. McCarty Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCarty was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Wannie" McCarty Sr.; grandson, Dixon Clark; and great-grandchildren, Micky Lawrence and Shannon Self. Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Directors of Lufkin
