OBITUARY CANADIAN -- Funeral services for Clarence E. CHILDRESS, 71, a Canadian resident since 1943, were held at the First Baptist Church in Canadian. He died November 24, 1973 at Hemphill County Hospital. Rev. Troy Nolan, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Canadian Cemetery by Duenkel Funeral Home of Pampa. Born September 27, 1903 in Eastland County, Mr. CHILDRESS was a retired employee of Santa Fe Railway. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Etta Mae, two daughters, Mrs. Juanita SUMERELL, West City, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Elizabeth BAXTER, Canadian; and a son, J. R. of Canadian, three sisters, Mrs. Alvin IRVIN, Pampa, Mrs. Sammy CASWELL, Sayre, Oklahoma and Mrs. Bonnie JOHNSON, Wheeler: four brothers, Cecil of Quemado, Clois of Canadian and J.
