Kenneth Buell Walston was born on October 11, 1912, in Milam County, Texas to Nellie Lou Holder, age 23, and Wesley Ahas Walston, age 28. He was there second child. He attended school at Sasakwa, OK. In the 1920s Sasakwa was home to the Green Corn Rebellion & sure to have made the dinner table discussions. He worked at an ice house in Sasakwa when he met & married Veta Verna Sanders. They married on March 19, 1933 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Later he began working in the oil field & spent the rest of his life in that field. He had 6 children. 5 boys & one girl. Billy Joe & Donald Eugene were born in Sasakwa in the mid 30s. Jerry Glenn & Venita Lou where born in Fittstown, OK in the late 1930s. Fittstown is 11 miles southeast of Ada. Twins, Kenneth Gerald & Kennie Buell were born in Byars, OK in 1940.
