July 21, 1906 - Nov. 11, 2010 Margaret Reisch Giblin, 104 years young, went Home to God November 11, 2010. The Mass of Christian Burial will be November 15, 10:00 a.m., Visitation Catholic Church, 5141 Main St., KCMO 64112. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be November 14 from 3 - 6 p.m., at the Church with a prayer service starting at 3 p.m. Margaret was born July 21, 1906, in Springfield, IL, and moved to Kansas City in 1942 with her husband, Louis J. Giblin, and their 5 living children. Over the years Margaret was an active member of St. Peter's, St. James, St. Elizabeth, Christ the King and Guardian Angels Parishes and was currently a member of Visitation Parish. Through her years in Kansas City, Margaret served as a nurse and contributed her gifts of organization and leadership to various community groups, including the American Red Cross, Catholic Women's Club, Eucharistic Guild, Seton Center, Legion of Mary, and Visitation's RCIA. She was an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and found delight in loving all aspects of life, especially family, friends, music, nature, reading, quilting, cooking, card playing and God, the source of all. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; two daughters, Connie Bosse and Marian Nigro; and two sons, Thomas A. Giblin and George Giblin. Survivors include a son, Louis J. Giblin, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR, a daughter, Sr. Suzanne Giblin, C.S.J. of St. Louis, MO and a brother, Edward Reisch, of Mountain Home, AR. She loved her 24 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces arid nephews and quilting companions. The family wishes to thank Visitation Parish, KC Hospice and Margaret's many friends for their loving support.
