Bio

The 1930 United States Census indicates that his family refers to him as George Reisch III. His father is George Reisch, and his grandfather is George Reisch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr George C Reisch, 76, of Springfield died at 3:15 a.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital. He was born on April 18, 1911, in Springfield, the son of George F. and Alvina Graser Reisch. He married the former Maxine Cripe in 1934, and she died in 1946. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson. Mr. Reisch was formerly employed by Sangamo Electric Co., and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Jeanne) McCarthy, Catherine "Kit" Copeland, and Miss Elizabeth Reisch, all of Springfield, and Marilyn Bush of Carbondale; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Giblin of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Mary Zimmerman, Mrs. Catherine Dirksen, and Mrs. Susanne Brennan, all of Springfield; two brothers, Edward L. Reisch of Mountain Home, Ark., and Albert C. Thoma of Springfield. Services at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. State Journal-Register(Springfield, IL) - Saturday, June 6, 1987
