Mary Reisch Zimmerman , 85, of Springfield died at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1907, in Springfield, the daughter of George and Alvina Graeser Reisch. She married Frank Reisch Zimmerman in 1932 in Springfield; he died in 1984. Also preceding her in death was a brother, George Reisch Jr. Mrs. Zimmerman was a hostess for Welcome Wagon in Springfield for 35 years. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. She had been a Good Samaritan at St. John's Hospital for the past several years. Mrs. Zimmerman was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and studied music at The Conservatory in New York, N.Y. Surviving are a son, Frank R. Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Ann) Berning of Springfield and Mrs. Larry (Mary Sue) Eck of Downers Grove; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Zimmerman of Mountain Home, Ark., and Albert "Bud" Thoma of Springfield; three sisters, Suzanne Brennan and Catherine Dirksen, both of Springfield, and Margaret Gilbin of Kansas City, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Concelebrated funeral Mass: Ss. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, the Revs. Jim Berning and Frank O'Hara officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
