Bio

Funeral services for former Buna resident, Harold Freeman Hargrove, 42, of Houston, were held Wednesday, October 30, 1963 at 11:00 am in Kirbyville at the E. E. Stringer Funeral Home. Woodrow Wilson, elder of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Harold was born March 7, 1921, in Buna to Starkey and Arilla Freeman Hargrove. He was preceded in death by his father, Starkey Hargrove and a baby brother, Claude Hargrove. Mr. Hargrove died Monday morning in a Houston Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was a WWII Veteran and operated a television repair shop at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Emma Mae Arnold Hargrove, Houston; his mother, Arilla Hargrove of Buna; and three sisters, Hazel Bertram of Buna, Litha Carley and Cecile Bryne both of Houston.
