Bio
Mrs. Arrilla F. Hargrove, 86, of Buna, Texas, passed away Monday in a Houston hospital. Survivors: Daughters, Mrs. Lucille Bertram of Buna, Mrs. Litha Carley of Houston, Mrs. Cecile Byrnes of North Zulch; seven great-grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren. Remains overland to Stringer Funeral Home in Buna, Texas for services and burial. Fogle West Funeral Home. Houston Chronicle, June, 1970 Arrilla was the daughter of Joseph Burrell and Olive Thedocia Morgan Freeman. She married Starkey Hargrove on Nov 24, 1901. Children: Hazel Lucille, Emma Telitha, Nancy Cecile, Claude and Harold. She was known to all that loved her as "Aunt Granny". Stories were told of her killing a deer in the marsh with an axe. I have always felt fortunate to have known my great grandmother.
