From The Wolbach Messenger, May 9, 1957, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Frank Bartunek, 82, a long-time resident and businessman of this community died early Saturday morning in a rest home in Omaha where he had been living for the past four months. [Funeral details....] Frank Bartunek was born March 11, 1875 in Czechoslovakia, and passed away at a rest home in Omaha on May 4, 1957 at the age of 82 years, one month and 23 days. He came to the United States with his parents when a young man. His marriage to Albina Josephine Schacl took place December 21, 1895 at St. Paul, Nebraska. They homesteaded a farm near Wolbach, later they moved to town where he operated a harness and shoe repair shop for many years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Dr. Paul Bartunek and his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Anna, now Mrs. Robert Flynn of Fiarmont, Minnesota, five grandchidlren and one great-grandchild.
