From the Leader-Independent, Greeley, Nebraska, Thursday, April 23, 1896, page 5, transcribed by Linda Berney: Died, April 7, 1896, Mrs. Rosie [sic] Eret, wife of Joseph Eret, aged 27 years. Mrs. Eret is the mother of five children, four of whom are now living, the youngest a babe of six weeks. Mr. Eret has the sympathy of the community in a desire to assist him in all ways possible. I desire to thank those of my neighbors who so nobly assisted me during the sickness and burial of my beloved wife. Respectfully, Joseph Eret (Too late for last week.)
