Her children: (1) James Wesley, Sr., (2) Tom, (3) Lizzie, (4) Maggie married William R. Reed, (5) Ellen married W. J. Robb, (6) Sarah F., (7) Charles T. (10 Mar 1876-30 Jan 1921 Springfield, MO) married twice, (8) Ibba F., (9) John Richard, (10) Mary Elizabeth. Age 62 years, all according to the Randolph County Death index. ∼ 4 Jan 1907--Mrs. James Sumter died at her home south of town on December 29, 1906, of consumption, aged 62 years. She is survived by four daughters and three sons, who have the sympathy of the community in their great loss. The remains were tenderly laid to rest Monday in New Hope cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her several years ago.
