Bio

Mrs. Clara M. Beard Funereal services for Mrs. Clara M. Beard, 92, of Frankston, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Frankston Church of Christ in Frankston with Hershel Bearden and Chris White officiating. Burial was in Frankston City Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Frankston. Mr. Beard died Saturday, July 13 in a Frankston Nursing home Tuesday, after a long illness. She was born May 21, 1899, in Frankston and was a lifetime resident of the area. Mrs. Beard was a member of Frankston Church of Christ in Frankston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben Beard, in 1969 and a son, Max R. Beard, in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Garrett Beard and Rueben Beard both of Frankston; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were T.L. Beard, Herbert Riley, K.D. Herrington, Jerry Beard, Pat Livingston and James Beard. Honorary pallbearers were Clem Cecil, Lee Horton, Dean Smith, Joe McDonald, Edward Clark, Dwight Smith, and Buster Jennings.
