NORFOLK DAILY NEWS; Norfolk, Nebraska; Monday, October 10, 1977; page 20 F. CARRICO SERVICES SET TUESDAY Services for Frank Carrico, 64, Route 4, Norfolk, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church by Robert Kelly, minister. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Battle Creek, with military rites by Winter- Munson Post 1644, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The body will lie in state Monday, from 3 - 9 p.m. at the Howser Mortuary. Mr. Carrico died Saturday afternoon at a Norfolk hospital. He was born June 19, 1913 in Cherry county to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Carrico and spent most of his life in the Norfolk vicinity. He was a semi retired landscaper. He married Francis Moeller on August 16, 1942 at Hartington. She survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Leander (Yvonne) Vyhlidal of Norfolk and Mrs. Jeanne Burko of Chatsworth, Calif.; one granddaughter and one grandson; two brothers and two sisters, Howard of Kearney, Joe of Buena Park, Calif., Mrs. Everett (Verna) Kohler of Norfolk, and Mrs. Robert (Joy) Nelson of Portland, Ore. Mr. Carrico was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers in infancy. He was a member of the First Christian Church, a veteran of WW II in which he served in the U.S. Army. and a lifetime member of VFW Post 1644 and American Legion Post 16. He was long active in the Norfolk saddle club and was a member of the Valley Vagabonds.
