John Heger Jr. son of John and Frances Heger.John Heger Jr. married Sophie Knebel in 1907. ____________________________ Funeral services for John Heger Jr.,83,retired Holman area farmer,were held Wednesday morning at Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michaels Catholic Church,with burial in the church cemetery. Rev.Oswald Kahlich officiated,assisted by Rev.Gerald Hubertus and Rev.Albert Hubertus. Pallbearers were Mr.Hegers grandson,John H. Heger,George Heger,James Heger,Paul Oncken,John Oncken,John Barta,E.J. Haidusek and Patrick Haidusek. Mr.Heger died at 7:15 a.m. Monday,March 16,at the home of Mr. and Mrs.Edwin Haidusek,a son-in-law and daughter,where he had been living recently.He had been bedridden since last May. He lived his entire life on the farm where he was born,between Weimar and Holman.Born May 3,1886,he was a son of John Sr. and Francis Bartosh Heger.He married Miss Sophie Knebel here in 1907. His wife survives,along with one son,John F. Heger of Weimar;three daughters,Mrs.Arthur (Agnes) Oncken,Mrs.Edwin (Mary) Barta and Mrs.Edwin (Frances) Haidusek,all of Weimar;24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren;One brother,Fred Heger Sr. of Columbus;and three sisters,Mrs.Anton (Sophie) Freis Sr.,Mrs.Emil (Millie) Rerich,and Mrs.Frank (Minnie) Vacek,all of Weimar. Two of his children died,a son as an infant and a daughter as a four-year-old.A brother,Frank Sr.,and four sisters,Mrs.Mary Munsch,Mrs.Julia Miksch,Mrs.Frances Miksch and Mrs.Annie Ullman,also preceded him in death.
